Personal Accident And Illness Claims Guidelines

Submitting a claim under your Personal Accident & Illness Policy

If you are involved in an accident or become ill and are unlikely to be able to return to work for more than 14 days, please telephone IDS and ask for a Claim Form as soon as you are able to do so.

You should complete the form and return it to IDS as soon as possible, ensuring that your doctor has completed the medical certificate it contains.

Once your claim has been submitted, please ensure that any necessary medical certificates are submitted promptly and ensure that there are no breaks in these.

We would remind you that under the terms of the policy, unnecessary delays may predudice your claim. Remember also that the longer you delay submission of your claim, the longer it will be before you receive any money.
